  • How do you ship your perishable items?
  • We ship them in styrofoam containers with cold packs in them to help maintain a cool temperature inside the box.
  • Will my cheese be in good shape when it arrives?
  • We pack each order by hand and with great care, if there are problems, please call. We ship in cold packs and styrofoam. But please be aware of the climate in your area! Ship overnight if its very warm, or very cold. If for any reason your unsatisfied with your order, please contact our order department and we WILL resolve your issue. Any shipping problems or errors must be reported within 2 days of receipt.
  • What happens if I order an item out of stock?
  • If an item on your order is not available for any reason, we will ship the remainder of your order to you as soon as possible. We would not want to hold up the rest of your products. We cut each cheese for each order, as each order arrives, therefore to ensure its highest quality, and to make sure we have quantity, we ship it to you as soon as possible. You will receive an email notification of the missing product and if we don't hear from you within 24 hours, we will ship the remainder of the order to you. If you'd like to place a backorder for the missing product, please contact our order department.
  • When will my order ship?
  • After you place your order, we will ship your order within 2 business days. If you have ordered on a Thursday night, we will not pack your order until Monday. This ensures your order will remain fresh and make it to you with as little transit time as necessary. In the near future we will be offering a Saturday delivery to residences option. If you are shipping perishable items such as cheese or other dairy products to other states depending on where they located in the country we will ship them out overnight or for two day air. Your order will be shipped out that way because we want your order to be as fresh as possible when you receive it.
  • Why did my order price change?
  • Every cheese varies a little in size and weight. While using our site we give an estimated weight and price for all our items that must be weighed. Once your order has been placed we assemble your order and weigh each item to determine its final price. You only pay for the actual weight that we send you, this is reflected in your final receipt sent to you when the item is shipped.
  • What happens if portions of my order are not ready to ship or are not in stock?
  • We will contact you and offer a replacement if we are not going to receive anymore any time soon. If we do not receive a response back within 24 hours we will just remove the item and recalculate the cost and ship the rest of your order.
  • Can I order my items online and then come pick them up at the store?
  • Unfortunately we do not offer that service with gourmet items as everything has to be prepared and in our drive to provide you with the freshest products we do not want to package up your order and have it sit and wait for you.
  • Gifts
  • Since you are sending perishables, please notify the recipient of any impending deliveries! You don’t want you gift left out to exposure!
  • Other Shipping Policies
    • We cannot ship to any other countries
    • We cannot ship to PO boxes
    • There are no delivery options available for Sunday or Monday
    • All orders ship FEDEX only, if you have an account number you would like to use, please call our order department 888-980-9463. We cannot use any other services.
    • Wine Library orders cannot be combined with Gourmet Library orders, they are billed and shipped completely separately.
  • What happens if I there is a problem with my credit card?
  • Because of the perishable nature of many of the products we have for sale on Gourmet Library. Our policy requires that you respond back to us within 24 hours of us first notifying you of the problem. If you do not get back to us in that time frame we will have to cancel your order with us.
  • Can you hold my order and ship it on a specific date?
  • Unfortunately due to the perishable nature of many items on Gourmet Library we do not have a scheduled ship date or a hold to ship option like Wine Library offers for wine. If there is a reason you will not be available to receive your order when it is delivered please contact our Order Department at 1(888) 980-9463 to cancel your order (it can be reordered on the site when you will be available to receive it).
